Why Oil Can Clean Your Face Better Than Soap

You may be thinking, “Oil attracts dirt and clogs pores, how can it be better at cleaning my face?!”  Well, keep in mind that your skin naturally produces oil to protect the skin barrier and keep skin moisturized, soft, and supple.  When you wash your face with harsh soaps, the skin’s natural oils are stripped away, leaving skin tight and dry.

Cleansing oils on the other hand, can actually cleanse deeper, without damaging the skin barrier.  How is that possible?  Oil itself actually dissolves and removes oil.  That’s why cleansing oils are better at removing oil-based makeup and cleaning out sebum from your pores.  No need to keep rubbing and scrubbing your face to get a deep clean, just let the natural cleansing property of the oil do the work for you!

You may already be familiar with cleansing oils, mostly to remove make up.  But even if you don’t wear makeup, using a cleansing oil everyday is better for your skin because it lets you thoroughly clean your face while keeping it moisturized. If you think that using a cleansing oil everyday is too expensive, then you might want to try the newly reformulated Céleteque DermoScience Advanced Anti-aging Cleansing Oil for only P249 (SRP) for a 50mL bottle!

All you need to do is to gently smooth the Céleteque Cleansing Oil all over your face, and it will get into every nook and cranny of your skin’s texture and blend with the oil-based makeup and excess sebum in your pores.  Use some water to emulsify the cleansing oil – it will turn into a white liquid.  Then rinse off!  All of the makeup, dirt, and impurities on your skin will be instantly washed away, leaving you with clean, soft, and moisture-balanced skin.

What makes Céleteque’s reformulated Cleansing Oil unique is that it has great ingredients for the skin, like vitamin E and Phytosqualane, so that you don’t just get clean skin, you get better skin too.  It has actually been clinically tested to lessen fine lines by 77% in just 4 weeks!

Cover Up Pimples Without Making It Worse

When you wake up to find a big angry pimple on your face, you may be tempted to pop it, dry it out, then apply concealer, hoping that no one will notice it.  But did you know that doing that can lead to infection, making your pimple bigger and angrier than ever?

Popping a pimple makes it an open wound, and putting makeup on broken skin is never a good idea. Also, a lot of makeup can clog pores, which is really the reason for pimples and blemishes in the first place.

If you really want to cover up your pimple with makeup, the first step is to NOT pop the pimple to keep the skin intact. Next, go through your usual cleanse-tone-moisturize regimen, to prepare your face to be made up.

Wash your hands too, to make sure that they’re clean before you touch your pimple. Before even applying your makeup, check to see that the makeup you use is oil-free and non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog your pores), so that it doesn’t make your pimple even worse. Before using any makeup on your face, use an acne-clearing product like the new Céleteque DermoScience Acne Solutions Acne-Clearing Concealer, to protect and treat the pimple before putting on other layers.

The Céleteque Acne-Clearing Concealer is different from regular concealers because it has Salicylic acid that opens up pores and exfoliates the dead skin cells, and Camellia sinensis extract that has soothing and antibacterial properties to treat the pimple. It’s very easy to apply because of the pointed tip!

Once you’ve treated and covered the pimple, go on and apply your foundation, blending it into the sides of the pimple. Remember that shine actually accentuates the pimple, so apply matte powder to set your foundation.

A makeup artist trick is to use a Hydrating Mist over your powder for a more natural finish.

Of course, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so it’s better to have a skin care routine that will clear up your skin in the first place.  Check out the Céleteque Acne Solutions line that has been clinically tested to make skin 80% clearer in just 2 weeks!  Visit to see for yourself!
